Welcome to Rancheria Isabella
Where Quality Meets Care
Our Heritage
Rooted in Tradition
A Commitment to Quality
At Rancheria Isabella, we believe that the best meat comes from animals raised with love and care. Our commitment to quality starts from the moment our livestock are born. We use sustainable farming practices to ensure that our animals have the best possible environment, resulting in superior flavor and tenderness in every cut.Sustainable Practices
Sustainability is at the heart of our farming philosophy. We prioritize eco-friendly practices that enhance the well-being of our animals and the health of our land. From rotational grazing to natural feed options, we strive to minimize our environmental impact while providing the highest quality meat to our customers.Community Engagement
Our passion for quality meats extends beyond our farm. We actively engage with our local community through educational programs, farm tours, and partnerships with local chefs and restaurants. By fostering these connections, we promote awareness of sustainable agriculture and encourage support for local food systems. Our Dedicated Team
Meet the Faces Behind Your Food
Tom and Lisa Huckins
As the founders and co-ranchers, Tom and Lisa brings years of experience in sustainable agriculture. Our passion for raising healthy livestock drives the vision of Rancheria Isabella.
Thomas E.F. Huckins
Thomas, our teenage son is an essential member of our team. He puts in good hard work caring for the animals, with a good heart and dedication to their welfare. He is currently active in Ophir 4H, raising a couple of show hogs for the September Gold Country Fair. He also has his own forge where he passionately crafts both artistic pieces and knives...
Magdalena Huckins
Magdalena is currently teaching highschool full time at a Classical Academy, but is always willing to pitch in on the ranch. Her hands-on approach and deep understanding of animal husbandry contribute to the exceptional quality of our meats. She and Thomas are currently training their newly acquired 2 1/2 year old filly, Estrella.
Community Collaborations
Building Stronger Connections
Farm-to-Table Initiatives
We have hosted monthly events at the ranch to build community and encourage other families to get "back on the land". These get togethers also promote the importance of sourcing ingredients from sustainable farms.
Educational Farm Tours
Rancheria Isabella hosts educational tours for schools and community groups. These tours provide insights into sustainable farming practices, animal welfare, and the journey from farm to plate, inspiring the next generation of food advocates.Charity Fundraising Events
We are proud to have contributed to various charitable causes through fundraising events. By donating whole hogs for community dinners and auctions, we aim to give back and support local organizations that make a difference.
